No. Previous exposure can be helpful, but the Level 1 certification is designed to build a complete foundation and then develop your ability to apply the model professionally.

Yes. The certification is designed to equip you to use DISC in training, coaching, consulting, leadership development, sales, team communication, and other appropriate professional applications.

No. Certified Human Behavior Consultants may use DISC professionally, but they are not authorized to conduct Personality Insights, Inc. certification classes or certify other consultants.

Certification can only be led by a certified Master Trainer or Executive Master Trainer.

Scientific measurement applies to the assessment instrument, which is why Personality Insights, Inc. uses professional-grade assessments supported by independent research and validation through the Assessment Standards Institute.

There is no single governing body that accredits the DISC model itself. When comparing programs, evaluate the credibility of the training organization, the experience of the trainers, the quality of the curriculum, the professional tools provided, and how well the program prepares you to apply DISC.

The organization behind your certification matters. Your Certified Human Behavior Consultant credential is issued through Personality Insights, Inc., rather than being a generic certificate created by an independent trainer.

All certified consultants receive access to the Consultant Resource Page inside their Personality Insights account. This includes a broad collection of professional tools and materials such as consultant-only products, training-booklet answer keys, branded-report resources, logos and certification graphics, assessment validation reports, Discovery Report tools, links and documents, recorded consultant trainings, webinar replays, and additional resources for using DISC professionally.

These resources support the practical side of being a consultant, including purchasing and delivering assessments, presenting DISC, using branded reports, accessing curriculum support materials, and continuing to develop professionally.

Consultants who complete their certification with us also receive support that is separate from the standard Personality Insights consultant resources. This includes access to our private consultant community, more than 200 hours of additional recorded education, continued learning opportunities, practical implementation resources, and ongoing support from Chris and Melissa as you begin applying DISC in training, coaching, leadership development, sales, team communication, consulting, or your existing role.
